Children once invented time without a screen to fill it.
Boredom was managed with sticks, bikes, and neighborhood geography. The record of childhood was in photographs taken sparingly and developed weeks later. Memories weren't instantly uploaded. Analog childhood still exists in pockets, but the default has shifted: screens are now the primary environment for play, connection, and identity formation.
