CONTRIBUTOR

AM radio was never clean. That was part of the evidence. It carried storm warnings, distant games, call-in shows, local ads, night voices, and static that changed with the road. Some electric vehicles have dropped AM radio because of interference and design constraints. The debate is about old infrastructure that still reaches where newer systems may fail.
